The National Theatre “Mihai Eminescu” is participating in the 17th edition of the National Theatre Festival held in the Romanian cities of Bucharest and Sibiu between November 2 and 15. According to art critic Larisa Turea, the troupe of the National Theatre will present the play “Family Stories” by B. Srbljanovic, directed by Mihai Fusu, on November 9 in Bucharest. Besides the Theatre’s troupe and administration, the delegation includes such Moldovan theatre critics as Valentina Tazlauanu, Larisa Turea and Irina Nechit. A number of 54 plays will be presented at this year’s edition of the National Theatre Festival in Romania. Ninety-two performances overall will be given in all the Bucharest theatres including the National Opera House, the National Operetta Theatre, the Circus “Globus”, the National Dance Centre, and in Sibiu – the European cultural capital in 2007.
