President Nicolae Timofti signed a decree to confer the honorific title of Emeritus Person on His Holiness Vladimir, Metropolitan Bishop of Chisinau and all Moldova, IPN reports.

According to the presidential press service, the title was awarded in gratitude for his special contribution to the moral and spiritual renaissance of society and to promoting the Christian Orthodox values and the restoration of churches.
