The meteorologists warn that on Friday, 11 August, on a great part of the republic’s territory and in Chisinau there will be noted storms, with hail and gale up to 15-20 meters per second. At the same time, there are announced overflows and riverbed level increases. On certain rivers, on 11–12 August, the water level might grow by 0.5-1 meter, in some places – accompanied by overflows in fields, leading to flooding of basements. The rain might also break the distressed water accumulations dams. The head of the Weather Forecasts State Center, Lidia Trescilo, announced that the cyclone influencing the weather of Moldova is moving gradually North-East. This way, the storms will cease during the night. According to her, even if some places it will be clouded, on Saturday, the weather will not provide any unpleasant surprises. The following days will bring back the fair weather.
