MEP Sebastian Bodu invited to public debates in Moldova
Romanian MEP Sebastian Bodu was invited to a debate meeting themed “Moldova in the EU. Economic, Political and Institutional Prospects after Communist Government” set to take place early in November. The meeting is organized by the European Action Movement (MAE), Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a communique, the MAE says that the organization decided to invite the MEP to Moldova following the support statements that he made in the European Parliament on October 22. Sebastian Bodu asked that Moldova be offered 'concrete support' by the EU.
The debates will be attended by representatives of the civil society and nongovernmental organizations and businesspersons. The major subjects for discussion will be the economic crisis, the establishment of a state of law, the modification of the anti-corruption legislation and the role of the Christian-Democratic ideology in the European integration process.
Sebastian Bodu is a MEP on behalf of the Liberal Democratic Party. He is a member of the Parliamentary Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) in the European Parliament and vice president of the Legal Affairs Committee.
