The Cabinet reshuffle in Moldova does not affect the country’s European course, stated MEP Siegfried Mureșan, president of the European Parliament Delegation to the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee. According to him, the objectives are the same, and the support from the European Union remains unchanged as well.
The MEP noted that in Chisinau there is “a clear, stable parliamentary majority that seeks European integration and wants to implement reforms. The outgoing Government was based on this majority, and the new Cabinet will be based on the same majority”.
“I am confident that the Government led by Prime Minister Dorin Recean will make state institutions function well and work in the interest of the people”, added the MEP.
Siegfried Mureșan declared that the European Union will continue to help the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and the authorities in Chisinau to overcome the challenges they face, and to advance in the implementation of reforms, modernization of the state and European integration.
Prime minister-designate Dorin Recean has 15 days to present his cabinet and program, and ask Parliament for a vote of confidence.
