Men's table tennis squad ranks 34th at European champs
The national men's table tennis team of Moldova finished 34th in the team competition of the European Championship that is taking place in the Czech Republic, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In the mini-tournaments for the 33-36th positions, Moldova beat Cyprus 3-2, but lost to Finland 2-3. The points for Moldova were won by Eugeniu Milchin and Pavel Weinstein.
The individual competition starts on September 15. Moldova will be represented by Teodor Olaru, Mihai Adam, Eugeniu Milchin, Pavel Weinstein, and Vladimir Semipeadnyi. The pairs Olaru-Adam and Milchin-Weinstein will compete in doubles.
Moldova does not have representatives in women's tournament.
The European Table Tennis Championship held in Ostrava closes on Sunday, September 19.
