Two men aged 27 and 30 were sentenced to 20 years in jail each for raping and robbing an elderly woman from Ceadir-Lunga. They stole goods to the value of over 4,000 lei from her house, IPN reports.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, it was established that in November 2007, the offenders broke into the home of the 80-year-old woman and raped her. After committing the crime, they fled abroad.

Last year, the culprits were extradited from Russia to Moldova. They were convicted of robbery, rape and perverse actions of a sexual character. The sentence is not yet definitive.
