Members of Homebuilding Cooperate No. 82 from Gradinilor St say they became victims of swindlers

Members of the Homebuilding Cooperative No.82 situated at 60 Gradinilor St in Chisinau said they became victims of swindlers who want at any cost to form again part of the Cooperative’s administration, being supported in their efforts by state officials.

In a news conference at IPN, dweller Aurelia Prepelita said everything started in 2013, when the then president of the Cooperative and the manager, being accused of falsifying documents, disfavoring of members of the Homebuilding Cooperative and lack of transparency in managing public funds, were dismissed. The same year, a new administration was chosen at the general assembly of dwellers. Immediately after the meeting, a group of persons led by the ex-president and ex-manager, who is the wife of an MP, sued the new administration. The trial still goes on.

According to Aurelia Prepelita, initially the court rejected the application of the plaintiffs. But these insisted and later went to the Appeals Court. In 2016, the dismissed president was reinstated. The dwellers expressed their dissatisfaction with this fact. At a new general assembly, this was dismissed again and the scenario repeated. The representatives of the former administration threaten the new administration with hardships.

Nicolae Plotean, current president of the Homebuilding Cooperative No. 82, said that in 2011, with the assistance of Ion Casian, who was then lawyer at the Chisinau City Hall, a plot of land was leased out to the Cooperative. A parking lot was built there, but not all the dwellers of the block have access to this, only those who support the dismissed administration of the Cooperative. “The parking lot was built with the dwellers’ money and these also pay taxes, but the lot is used by several persons who manage the parking place,” said the man. He noted he asked that the parking lot should be transferred to the Cooperative, but was refused.

Another representative of the Homebuilding Cooperative No. 82 Valentina Burcovskaya called on the Government, Parliament and the law enforcement agencies to stop the related wrongdoings. The complaints filed until now ended with evasive answers or were generally ignored.
