The Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) has launched the competition to choose a member of the Council of the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). The position is intended for a judge of the courts of first instance, the term being of four years, IPN reports.
The contest started on January 28 and will last for 10 days. In the period, those interested can submit their files.
The position remained vacant after the expiration of the term of judge Genady Mîra on December 22, 2024.
The Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Justice are represented within the National Institute of Justice. A judge from the ordinary courts is to be selected to complete the team.
The competition to designate the director of the NIJ continues.
