One of the members of the Administration Board of Banca Sociala remains under house arrest. The Chisinau Appeals Court rejected the prosecutor’s request to transfer him to the remand unit of the National Anticorruption Center. The Court’s decision is irrevocable, IPN reports.

On May 18, the Appeals Court decided to place Viorel Barca, one of the former presidents of the Administration Board of Banca de Economii, under arrest for 30 days. The same day the Court rejected the prosecutors’ request to remand businessman Ilan Shor, a former president of the Administration Board of Banca de Economii, in custody from under house arrest.
