At the Municipal Clinical Hospital "Sfântul Arhanghel Mihail" in Chișinău, a new Center for Medical Rehabilitation was inaugurated.

The Center is intended to improve the physical condition of people with health problems. A special emphasis is placed on the capacity of social integration, recovery and return to a quality life of people with disabilities.

Mihai Ciobanu, director of the SCM "Sfântul Arhanghel Mihail", said that the Center is a prototype of the National Rehabilitation Institute in Hungary. It has a capacity of five hundred patients per day, with a neurological, cardiological, traumatological and rheumatological profile. Patients can be taken care of in outpatient conditions in two shifts, while there are 35 beds in the center for patients that require overnight care.

The amount of allocated funds by the Chișinău municipal budget for the newly created institution is 35 million lei.
