A Media Hub centering on the media education of young people was opened in the capital city. The young people there will be able to develop new skills in the media sector through training seminars, information sessions, informative and recreational programs and podcasts, IPN reports.
Petru Grecu, director of the Municipal Youth Center, said that the Media Hub project was implemented in the framework of the 2022 Civil Budget program. “It is a project through which we aim to develop the skills of young people in terms of media education. We have a modern studio in which the young people will learn what video editing, filming and montage are. Young people from the faculty of journalism can also come for practice here. We have all the necessary equipment,” stated Petru Grecu.
According to him, two media products will be created at the Media Hub - a weekly podcast for young people and a program that will be broadcast for two times a month. “The podcast and the program are made by young people for young people. They will be produced by young people. So, the young people’s involvement will be equal to 100%,” noted the director of the Municipal Youth Center.
In this connection, Petru Grecu invited mayor general of Chisinau Ion Ceban to be the first invitee of the program so as to discuss his experience in the youth sector. The mayor accepted the invitation.
