The mechanism for registering Transnistrian motor vehicles with neutral-design license plates will be extended to localities that are not controlled by the Moldovan constitutional authorities. The Cabinet adopted a bill to this effect proposed by a group of MPs on November 28, IPN reports.
Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Kiril Gaburici said the given localities are the villages Gâsca, Chițcani, Zahorna, Zviozdochka, Merenești and Cremenciug of Căușeni district.
On September 1 this year, following agreements reached during the negotiations between Chisinau and Tiraspol, two points for registering Transnistrian motor vehicles were opened in Tiraspol and Rybnitsa. Here, vehicle owners from the Transnistrian region can ask for neutral-design license plates that ensure access to international traffic.
