The Cabinet approved a decision concerning the preparation of education institutions for the 2017-2018 school year. The document stipulates measures to outfit the education institutions, to prepare these for the cold season of the year and to optimize the network of schools, IPN reports.

The first-fourth graders, students from socially deprived families of the fifth-twelfth grades, students of general education institutions of the eastern distress of Moldova and Bender municipality, which are managed by the Ministry of Education, will be served food at school.

The first-nine graders and the ten-twelfth graders from socially disadvantaged families of all types of education institutions will be provided with textbooks free of charge.

Other measures defined in the document are aimed at ensuring the free transportation of students and teachers to school and the inclusion of students with special educational needs.
