MDL 1.279 bln collected by the Medical Insurances Fund

In the first 10 months of 2006, about MDL 1.254 bln were collected by the Fund of compulsory medical insurances (FAOAM), compared with MDL 1.254 bln – planned incomes, the schedule of incomes being executed at 102%. Data provided by the National Company of Medical Insurances (CNAM) show that about MDL 399 mln were collected from the premiums paid by employers and employees, the level of payment constituting 102,6% compared with the planned level. A monthly sum of MDL 835 mln was transferred from the State budget for the disadvantaged categories of persons. The rest of incomes, such as the premiums paid by the individual persons, interests and other types of cashing amounted to about MDL 44.6 mln. About MDL 1.151 bln were paid from the base fund of FAOAM for the medical institutions and pharmaceutical companies. About MDL 1 mln was spent from the prophylaxis fund for implementing some prophylaxis measures and for promoting a healthy life style. Over MDL 12 mln were spent from the reserve fund for paying the services provided to the uninsured persons. The administrative expenses of the National Company of Medical Insurances amounted to about MDL 15 mln from the beginning of the year.
