Mayorlty wants to find out why the most trolleybuses brake on Friday
The City Hall of Chisinau will create a work group in order to study why the most of trolleybuses brake in the evenings of Friday.
Analyzing the information presented by the Electric Transport Management (RTEC), the deputy mayor Veaceslav Iordan found out at a meeting with decision making authorities that about 15 trolleybuses are breaking in the primetime, in the evenings of Friday. The deputy mayor suspects that the drivers want to finish faster their working day, taking into consideration those two days of weekend which are following. Iordan declares that in the last two weeks, local authorities verify the way the circulation schedule of trolleybuses is respected in Chisinau.
The deputy mayor said that because of the shortcomings in the primetime, passengers’ transportation program is not properly carried out and as a result important incomes are not accumulated.
The head of RTEC, Victor Martaniuc declared at the same meeting, that the trolleybuses brake every day, thus the situation on Friday is a common one. The problem of the brake downs is a consequence of the overused trolleybuses and of the lack of financial resource for repairing them, Martaniuc said.
270 trolleybuses circulate on the streets of Chisinau, of which majority are used for over 10 years.
