The examination session for ninth and twelfth graders starts at the beginning of June. Specialists of the Chisinau General Division of Education, Youth and Sport said they finished designing methods for preventing information leaks, IPN reports.
In the May 26 meeting of officials of Chisinau City Hall subdivisions and municipal services, Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca proposed simulating baccalaureate exams at a Chisinau lyceum so as to test these methods. “The exams must be passed based on the accumulated knowledge, not on copying,” he stated.
This year, the security methods at the Baccalaureate exams will include the use of metal detectors. Surveillance cameras will be used again.
As many as 31 Baccalaureate centers will be opened in the districts and municipalities of Moldova for the 2014 examination session. As many as 12,777 students will take Baccalaureate exams this year, 6,410 of whom in Chisinau municipality. The ninth graders take the first exam on June 2, while the twelfth graders – on June 3. The Ministry of Education announced earlier that the teachers who will help the students during the examination session will be penalized and even dismissed.
