“We have excellent potential to develop the cooperation between the two capital cities and our bilateral projects can become wider in scope,” Mayor of Bucharest Sorin Oprescu said in a meeting with Moldova's Acting President Mihai Ghimpu and Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca, Info-Prim Neo's correspondent in Bucharest reports. ”I approve of the wise and balanced approach used by you and your colleagues from the Alliance for European Integration in ensuring a good governance in Moldova and reestablishing the relations with Romania,” Sorin Oprescu said, giving Mihai Ghimpu a symbol key to all the doors in Bucharest. He said that it is not only a sign of friendship and respect as it also symbolizes the readiness to establish a strategic partnership and efficient cooperation with the Moldovan authorities. Mayor Sorin Oprescu also said that Bucharest is ready to help Chisinau solve problems related to infrastructure and attraction of investments. “Chisinau needs the experience and support of Bucharest and we hope you will offer assistance in implementing municipal projects,” Mihai Ghimpu said, adding that any accomplishment in the two capital cities is for the Romanians' benefit. For his part, Dorin Chirtoaca invited the Romanian official to Chisinau, saying public servants from Chisinau will come to Bucharest to agree the projects that can be carried out in concert with the Romanian partners.
