The Mayor General of Chisinau and vice president of the Liberal Party (PL) Dorin Chirtoaca cast his vote at the polling station situated at 57 Calea Iesilor Street. Chirtoaca told the reporters that he voted for democracy, freedom and for Moldova’s European future, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I voted for the essence of this state and for the children’s future. Moldova belongs to our children, not to boyars. Any ruler must think of the children and their future,” Dorin Chirtoaca said. The PL vice president expressed his certitude that this time the PCRM will poll only 30-40% of the vote, while the Opposition parties – the rest of the votes. The PL plans to develop good neighborhood relations with Romania, Ukraine and Russia. The European integration is the major objective, Chirtoaca said. In order to be sure that the elections are fair, the Liberal Party delegated observers to monitor the voting process at polling stations.
