The municipality was dispossessed of a plot of 4 hectares situated on Calea Iesilor St based on a court decision with a forged stamp of the Chisinau City Hall, Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca announced Monday, Info-Prim Neo reports. “This is sheer robbery – a forged signature, a forged stamp and a court decision to dispossess the municipality of 4 hectares of land,” said the mayor. Dorin Chirtoaca stated that the plot was given to an enterprise based on a court decision with a forged stamp of the City Hall. He presumed that the stamp was scanned and then printed. The forgery was discovered by the Internal Audit Division. The Division’s head Raisa Cotorobai said they came across the document annexed to the case during an audit. “The stamp and the signature seemed strange. I asked performing an internal inquiry to see how the stamp appeared there and who was involved in the forgery of those documents,” she stated. The mayor demanded investigating the case.
