The mayor of Fuzauca village, Soldanesti district, aged 49, was caught red-handed as was taking a bribe of $200, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Interior Ministry. According to the law, the mayor may be punished by beign fined from 60 to 100 thousand lei or be jailed from 5 to 10 years. The mayor has not been found to comment the case. Asked by Info-Prim Neo, the village mayor office's accountant from Fuzauca has said she knew nothing about the case. According to the police, being the manager of a farm “Scortinschi prim” in 2003, the mayor was sentenced for fiscal evasion. In 2006, as he was a manager of SRL “Scarlion Prim”, the mayor punished for selling grain sequestered for debts. He was fined 5,000 lei then. A 69-year-old lawyer from Sangerei was caught red-handed as she was allegedly receiving 2,000 euros from a woman to influence a writ. According to the police, the lawyer convinced her client of having connections with an employee of the Sangerei prosecutor's office, but has never fulfilled her promises.
