The candidate for mayor of Chisinau of the People’s Party Maxim Braila said the modernization of Chisinau municipality promised by the previous administrations didn’t take place. Things in the city worsen daily and the people were forgotten by those whom they voted. Maxim Braila presented his program in a news conference by which he officially launched his election campaign, IPN reports.
“I decided to run because we tolerated enough. Time has come for us, the young people, to decide what we want. We will do our best to develop Chisinau city. I know what I have to do to improve the critical situation in which the city is now,” stated Maxim Braila.
The candidate aims to implement the e-Mayoralty system that will help root out corruption, will enable to make payments online for the provided municipal services and to file petitions and complaints online. He also aims to eliminate nepotism and the non-professionals from the municipal administration. The municipal transport system will be extended by increasing the number of buses and trolleybuses and of routes. The trucks will be banned from entering the city. The bus and minibus terminals and markets will be relocated to the peripheries.
Maxim Braila intends to work out a new urban development plan that will ban construction works in central Chisinau. He will also lay out quarters for young people and will maintain and develop the green areas. He will use his salary of mayor to plant annually by 1,000 trees in Chisinau. After half a year of greening, he will design a waste processing plant. “These are real promises that will start to be implemented during the first term in office. I have a realistic program,” stated Maxim Braila.
