Matter and Spirit in expo at Romanian Language House

“Matter and Spirit: language intersections” is theme of the painting, graphics and decorative art exhibition, inaugurated on Tuesday, March 11, at the Romanian Language House. The works are signed by young female artists Natalia Procop, Olga Tricolici, Elena Stadnicenco, Galina Vieru and Domnita Maria Vieru. One of the authors, Galina Vieru told Info-Prim Neo the works were carried out using different techniques, starting from painting and ending in applied decorative art, embroidery, jewelry. Nature – the mother of inspiration – is at the grounds of all the works. “I wanted to show the people that, apart from the daily routine, there are things we can look at endlessly,” the artist said. The director of the Romanian Language House, Alexandru Bantos, appreciated the effort and the value of the young artists’ works. “Our essence is the matter and the spirit. We want the spirit to dominate over all. Different manners to make a work, different visions met here, as the beauty, the warm soul, the young spirit are present everywhere. I’d like this exhibition to be a beginning of cooperation with the creating youth from the entire country,” Alexandru Bantos underlined. Most of the visitors opined the works impressed through color, variety and beauty. Painter Ion Croitoru remarked that the artists were professionals already, although they still studied. The exposition will be on during a month.
