The laboratory examinations in the case of the mass poisoning at a wedding party on September 6 showed that the samples taken from invitees to the wedding and from two persons who served food at the Chisinau restaurant contained the bacterium Salmonella Enteritidis, IPN reports.
According to the Chisinau Public Health Center, Salmonella Enteritidis was also found in one of the ten samples taken from foods served at the ceremony.
Several dozen people who took part in the wedding party were admitted to the hospital with food poisoning. A man aged 38 from Ungheni died. The restaurant’s director is investigated and was put under house arrest. He is accused of keeping and selling products and services dangerous for life.
