About 30 students of the secondary school of Cioc-Maidan village in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia were hospitalized with food poisoning. According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the students’ state is medium-grave, but stable, IPN reports.
Minister of Health Viorica Dumbrăveanu asked to provide medical assistance to the hospitalized children and to transfer them to national health facilities, if need be. She also requested to examine all the students, teachers and other employees of the secondary school so as to determine their state of health.
The local press reported that ambulances were on guard in the village and the phone number of the health center was available during 24 hours so that those affected could report symptoms of poisoning.
