Masks made at penitentiary donated to Emergency Medicine Institute

The Ministry of Justice donated 45,000 protective masks to the Chisinau Emergency Medicine Institute as a gesture of solidarity with all those who struggle against the merciless COVID-19.

Contacted by IPN for a comment, Minister of Justice Fadei Nagachevski said the masks were made by prisoners of the Rusca Penitentiary.

“The masks represent a common donation of a state-owned enterprise, the National Administration of Penitentiaries and the Ministry of Justice intended for the Emergency Medicine Institute,” stated Fadei Nagacevschi.

The minister avoided saying the sum allocated by the self-managed state-owned enterprise for making the masks, but noted that the state budget didn’t incur costs in this regard.

The Ministry of Justice calls on all the citizens of Moldova to show maximum prudence and responsibility and to respect all the preventive measures that need to be taken during a state of emergency.
