The wearing of protective masks becomes mandatory in all the open public places all over the municipality of Chisinau, for all the categories of persons. Also, the protection measure to cover the nose and mouth remains valid for closed public places, including in public transport. The mask must cover the nose and mouth. The restrictions were approved by the extraordinary public health commission of Chisinau municipality on November 20, IPN reports.
The inter-sector commissions, in concert with the Chisinau Police Division and the Chisinau Public Health Center, will unexpectedly inspect markets, shops and shopping centers, restaurants, gyms and other places so as to see if the public health measures are obeyed, namely: correct measuring of visitors’ temperature, wearing of protective masks, maintaining of physical distance, availability of disinfectants.
The local public administration will have consultations with representatives of the hospitality industry of Chisinau so as to agree rational decisions amid the rise in the number of infections with the novel coronavirus.
The commission also recommends the municipal public and law enforcement institutions to implement a gradual working program for employees so that the program starts at 7am, 7:30am, 8am, 8:30am and 9am.
The non-observance of the measures imposed by the authorities poses dangers to public health and will serve as a reason for holding accountable those who break the rules.
