A Martsishor Fair will be mounted for the first time in the square of the National Place in central Chisinau as from February 24, from the savings made at the Christmas Fair. The event will be inaugurated on Dragobete by a performance of music. On fair days, the concerts given inside the National Palace will be broadcast on a LED screen set up on the fair’s ground, IPN reports.
The head of the Ministry of Culture’s Cultural Heritage Division Svetlana Pociumban said that craftspeople from Moldova and also from abroad will be invited to the fair. The participants will be selected according to the principle of authenticity of works.
The fair will be open between 4pm and 8pm on weekdays and from 10am until 8pm on the weekend. The visitors will be able to buy martsishors and also clay and wood articles and food.
