Martsishor and book for children treated at “Emilian Cotaga” Hospital

More than 100 children who receive treatment at the National Children’s Hospital “Emilian Cotaga” in Chisinau received by a martsishor and a book on March 1. The event was organized by readers of the National Children’s Library “Ion Creanga”.

Contacted by IPN, senior librarian Tamara Croitoru said the readers and librarians made martsishors of different sizes and forms to give them to the children who are treated at the Hospital “Emilian Cotaga”. Besides the traditional symbol of spring, the small patients also received Spiridon Vangheli’s book “Treasure” as a gift.

According to Tamara Croitoru, the event is held the second consecutive year with the aim of bringing smiles to the faces of children receiving treatment and to their parents. “I saw that neither the children nor the parents in the hospital had martsishors. They probably forgot that it is March 1 and need martsishors. We brought smiles to their faces,” stated Tamara Croitoru.

The martsishors from paper and wood were made by children and their parents and by librarians of the club “MesteRICH” of the National Children’s Library “Ion Creanga.
