Former Communist MP Mark Tkachuk decided to withdraw from politics. He made such an announcement in an interview for the news portal Omega, saying this is the last interview on political issues he gives, IPN reports.
Mark Tkachuk said he intends to cooperate with none of the politicians in the next 50 years. “I do not see my political future and decided to end any political activity. I didn’t really like this type of activity, but I felt a certain moral responsibility. Now I do not have such a responsibility,” he stated.
He also said that he will deal with scientific activities more, even as a Communist.
Mark Tkachuk vacated his seat of MP on May 23 this year. In a news conference later, the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin said that Mark Tkachuk will not be on the Communist Party’s list of candidates for the November 30 legislative elections.
