Mark Tkachuk: “Conservative wing left PCRM”

“The conservative wing that prevented the party's development left the PCRM,” Mark Tkachuk said, commenting on the decision of four MPs – Vladimir Turcan, Victor Stepaniuc, Ludmila Belcenkova and Valentin Guznac – to leave the Communist faction, Info-Prim Neo reports. “They are schemers who do not belong to our party,” Communist MP Mark Tkachuk said. “Politics are not a personal comfort. It is hard to be in the Opposition. One should have certain qualities, but these persons turned out to be weak.” Tkachuk reiterated the demand of the Communist faction's leader Maria Postoiko that the four MPs should give their seats to the substitute candidates as they entered the Parliament with the help of the 30,000 members of the PCRM. “If they wanted to leave the party and the faction, they had to do it before the early elections, when they held important posts. It would have been fair,” Tkachuk said. Vladimir Turcan, Ludmila Belcenkova, Valentin Guznac and Victor Stepaniuc announced that they leave the parliamentary group of the Communists Party at the legislative body's sitting on December 15. They said their decision was determined by the wrong decisions taken by the PCRM lately.
