NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw. During a joint press conference, the NATO chief reaffirmed the Alliance’s support for Poland and the entire European continent, IPN reports.

“If anyone thinks they can attack Poland or any other ally without consequences, our Alliance will respond with full force. Our response will be devastating. This must be clear to Putin and anyone else who might seek to attack us”, said Mark Rutte, as quoted by the Polish Press Agency (PAP).

The Polish Prime Minister also stated that his discussions with Rutte focused on Poland’s and Europe’s security in the context of ongoing negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, emphasizing that Europe’s influence in the negotiations remains limited.

“It is clear to everyone that the situation in Ukraine directly affects the security of Poland and Europe. As NATO and as Poland, we must be even more prepared for scenarios that are not entirely written by us”, said Donald Tusk.
