The Moldovan politicians made serious mistakes that put Moldova in a vulnerable situation, Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca said in the talk show “Moldova live” on the public TV channel “Moldova 1”, IPN reports.

“We care about Moldova and follow attentively the developments here. But we are not a severe teacher, but a partner that helps Moldova, which reached a vulnerable situation. We understand the people here and the difficult situation they face. This situation is caused by the internal factor, on the one hand, and by the external factor, on the other hand. The internal factor is the politicians who made serious mistakes and put the country in a vulnerable situation. On the other hand, the regional crisis influenced the situation in the Republic of Moldova,” stated the Romanian diplomat.

However, Marius Lazurca said that positive things started to be achieved. “I understand that the people here is very scandalized. I understand that the people are impatient. But there are positive evolutions. Not only I say this.  Other ambassadors only said this. We follow attentively what is going on in the Republic of Moldova,” said the Romanian ambassador.

Marius Lazurca expressed his satisfaction with the fact that the perception of Romania changed during his term in office. “The fact that the union is no longer a taboo theme here is due to the change in the perception of Romania. This change is due to the taken steps. It is the effect of better cooperation,” he stated.
