The vice president of the Shor Party Marina Tauber said her party is grateful to the Government of Romania for the multiple social projects financed in Orhei. At the same time, she described the recent statements made by the Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Peter Michalko as “crossing of the limits of diplomatic conduct”, IPN reports.
In a TV program, Marina Tauber tried to contradict the EU Ambassador in Chisinau Peter Michalko as regards the European investments in the Republic of Moldova. She suggested that the European funds are being stolen and the European Union tolerates this.
“Recently, Peter Michalko spoke about €1 billion invested in the Republic of Moldova. I often go to villages and ask the people there if they see any investment. They said they didn’t see any. I then ask who this €2 billion invested by the EU went to? We have special respect for the European Union, but no representative of another country should interfere in the domestic policy of a sovereign and independent state and, if a representative of the EU crosses these limits, this does not mean that we do not respect the European community,” Marina Tauber stated in the talk show “Important” on TVC21 channel.
On the other hand, Tauber expressed her gratitude to Romania for the kindergartens in Orhei district that were renovated with financial support from Bucharest.
“We have a very constructive dialogue with the ambassador of Romania. In Orhei, there are many projects financed by Romania and we are very grateful to the Romanian state for the assistance. Our sympathizers have different views. Some prefer Romania, while others the Russian Federation. Our goal is to improve people’s loves regardless of their geopolitical preferences,” stated Marina Tauber.
The Shor Party was registered by the Central Election Commission as a contender in the July 11 snap parliamentary elections. The party will be under no. 4 on the ballot.
