MP Marina Tauber today submitted the subscription lists with signatures from supporters, enabling her to register as an independent candidate for Balti mayor.

Marina Tauber told reporters that all the required paper, including 50 lists, had been submitted. According to her, she was able to collect the maximum number in a short period of time. She said she had no doubt she would be registered in the race.

This is Marina Tauber’s second attempt to register. On September 22, the Council rejected her request, citing legal rules prohibiting key members of political parties that have been declared unconstitutional from participating in elections for a period of 5 years. The Constitutional Court recently suspended the ban until a decision on the merits is delivered.
