Moldovan wrestler Mariana Draguțan won a bronze medal at the Zagreb Open after defeating Poland’s Magdalena Glodek and Ukraine’s Albina Rillia. In the semifinals of the 55 kg weight category, she lost to Poland’s Roksana Zasina, IPN reports.
Mariana Draguțan, 24, will contend in the Paris Olympics qualifying tournaments. Last year, she won bronze at the World Wrestling Championships.
The Zagreb Open also involves Iulia Leorda (53 kg), Anastasia Nikita (57 kg) and Mariana Cherdivara-Esanu (59 kg), as well as Greco-Roman wrestler Victor Ciobanu (60 kg).
