Three representatives of the Republic of Moldova on Wednesday enter the competitions at the Paris Olympic Games. Mariana Drăguțan and Valentin Petic will fight, while Sergei Tarnovschi will compete in the canoe sprint event, IPN reports.

In women’s wrestling, Mariana Drăguțan will face Andreea Beatrice Ana of Romania in the first fight of the up to 53kg weight class.

Valentin Petic will contend in Greco-Roman wrestling, in the up to 67 kg weight class, against Chile’s Evian Nestor Almanza Truyol.

The wrestling competition begins at 12 noon, Chisinau time.

Starting at 12:30 p.m., rower Sergei Tarnovschi will compete in single 1000m canoe sprint.
