Marian Lupu receives jubilee medal of armed forces

Acting President of Moldova Marian Lupu was awarded the jubilee medal “20 Years of the National Army” for contribution to developing the armed forces, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The jubilee medal “20 Years of the National Army” is given to conscripts, soldiers serving on contract and persons who contributed to developing the military institutions. President Marian Lupu supported most of the initiatives of the Ministry of Defense, accepted holding the military parade on the Independence Day and was thus awarded,” said Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta. He also said that the jubilee medal will be also conferred on Prime Minister Vlad Filat, a number of ministers, statesmen, veterans of the Transnistrian armed conflict and managers of civil institutions with which the Ministry of Defense cooperates. On the occasion of 20 years of the foundation of the National Army, there will be handed over about 3 000 jubilee medals.
