Marian Lupu: Prosecutor General’s Office was distributed to AMN, not PDM

The Prosecutor General’s Office was not entrusted to the Democratic Party (PDM), but the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN). “Things were done as agreed,” the leader of the PDM Marian Lupu said a news conference, when asked whom Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubko represent, Info-Prim Neo. According to Marian Lupu, besides ministries, the PDM was empowered to manage the Security and Information Service headed by Gheorghe Mihai and the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime headed by Viorel Chetraru. Marian Lupu specified that Viorel Chetraru is the son of Anatolie Chetraru, a member of the PDM and the head of Hancesti district. “I did not see Viorel Chetraru until then, but according to the information I studied, he was discharged from the Ministry of the Interior because a high-ranking official intended to press his parents,” Lupu said. Marian Lupu also said that the PDM has not been financed by businessman Vlad Plahotniuc. He stated he got acquainted with Plahotniuc this spring, at the place of a member of the PDM, and they became friends. The president of honor of the PDM Dumitru Diacov admitted recently that Vlad Plahotniuc financed the party indirectly. Today, Marian Lupu said that Dumitru Diacov does not deal with the financial problems of the PDM.
