The Democratic Party (PDM) will have its own candidate in the presidential elections, but hasn’t yet chosen one, the party’s chairman Marian Lupu said in the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.

“The Democratic Party is a solid party with traditions and with a future. We will definitely become involved in the presidential race. We are looking for a candidate at internal level. The necessary estimates are made and we will then take a decision. I hope we will soon be able to announce our candidate for President,” said the Democrats’ leader.

Marian Lupu leveled criticism at the opposition. “We do not have a constructive opposition. A constructive opposition does not play based on hatred. Our opposition does not propose well-thought-out ideas and solutions . Until now they proposed only how to destroy something. I heard no concrete proposals for remedying the situation from them. They do not have such capacities. The people in our society already hate each other and the blame for this is borne by the politicians,” stated the chairman of the PDM.
