Marian Lupu dissatisfied that dairy factory was besieged
Acting President Marian Lupu said the siege staged by masked policemen of the special brigade “Fulger” at the dairy company “JLC” is illogical and inexplicable. He said it was not necessary to use force as there were no serious reasons for this. The head of state made the statements after a meeting with the factory’s director Victor Cibotaru, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“There was certainly no reason to act like this at a company where over 80% of the employees are women and whose administration was very cooperative from the start. When we speak about the situation of the financial-banking sector, we refer to Moldova’s image, to the relations between the state and the business community, to the effects that should be beneficial for attracting investments to the real sector of the economy. But in reality, such methods as those used at the factory produce the opposite result,” said Marian Lupu.
He also said that there is no regulation governing the activity of the special brigade “Fulger” and everything is decided by the managers. “Such a situation is not normal. We must improve the legislation in this respect,” he stated.
On September 7, the police carried out inspections at the dairy company “JLC”, suspecting tax evasion.
