“Those who coordinated the governance process were either unskilled or preoccupied only with their personal success,” the chairman of the Democratic Party (PD) Marian Lupu said in a meeting with over 5,000 residents of Hancesti district. He openly expressed his dissatisfaction with the work done by Premier Vlad Filat, Info-Prim Neo reports. “No Mister Filat, we will not accept such populist and demagogical behavior because it can endanger the development of the state! Yes, Mister Filat, after November 28, we will ensure a mainly left-wing economic program, centering on the resolution of social problems that will meet the needs of the majority! No Mister Filat, governance does not mean theatrical breaking of brushwood in front of the video cameras or unreasonable participation in all the concerts and football matches out of the wish to receive applause! Yes Mister Filat, unfortunately we are a poor country and cannot afford a government that makes a show as you tried, wanting to hide personal weaknesses in offering solutions and ensuring success!” Marian Lupu said. The Democrat leader assumed a part of the blame for the problems to which he referred. “The most important thing that we now reproach ourselves for is that we allowed the ruling alliance to govern in accordance with a center-right program, with a Prime Minister who confuses the popular political current with popular public attitude. It is a great personal disappointment for me! The fact that we considered the political stability of the country as vital, avoiding ruptures inside the governing alliance was considered by some of the colleagues from the alliance as a good opportunity for administrative excesses or authoritarian attitudes,” the leader of the Democrats said. Marian Lupu stressed he had too much patience during the last year and tolerated the mentioned excesses. “I accepted to yield in the battle when the senior posts were distributed because not Marian Lupu was Prime Minister, not Marian Lupu was head of state! I told my colleagues from the alliance about similar problems in the many meetings we had and did not make them public,” he said.
