Marian Lupu assures ambassadors conditions will be created to improve situation
Acting President Marian Lupu, in a reception given for the ambassadors working in Moldova, voiced hope that conditions will be created in the near future to enable the improvement of the situation in the political, economic and social spheres, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In his speech, Marian Lupu spoke about the results achieved in the four rounds of talks on the creation of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area with the EU. He appreciated the effort made to strengthen the bilateral relations with Ukraine, Romania, Russia, Turkey, the U.S., China and such CIS countries as Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Georgia.
The Acting President devoted special attention to the Transnistrian conflict settlement process. “Given the political changes that took place in the Transnistrian region, I believe that the year 2012 may become a decisive one for establishing the legal basis of the settlement process. We will continue the multidimensional dialogue, both in the 5+2 format and with each of our partners, in order to guarantee the continuity of the process of normalizing the situation in the interests of the people living on both sides of the Nistru River,” said Marian Lupu.
At the end of his speech, the Acting President thanked the ambassadors for the efficient cooperation. He wished the officials force and energy in order to further develop the efficient and cordial relations between Moldova and the given countries.
