Canoeist Maria Olărașu from Hâncești district has qualified for the final of the 500 m race at the 2022 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, IPN reports.
According to the National Olympic and Sports Committee, the athletes representing Moldova entered the competition held in Canada. On August 4, Sergei Tarnovschi qualified for the semifinals of the 1,000 m race.
The 2022 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships are held in Canada’s Halifax and end on August 7.
