The Global Day of Action against Climate Change is marked in Moldova today, December 8, with a march staged simultaneously in a number of villages of Glodeni, Sangerei and Drochia districts and in the municipality of Balti. The march is mounted by the Association “Caroma Nord” in cooperation with a number of NGOs and mayor's offices. It will start at about 2pm. The marchers will go from education institutions to mayor's offices or village centers. On the way, they will distribute leaflets and green paper leaves with messages and information about environment protection, the head of “Caroma Nord” Rodica Frecautan stated for Info-Prim Neo. The march for climate is organized within the Partnership for a Clean Environment Project implemented with financial support from the National Endowment for Democracy, through the Common Fund Program launched by the European Partnership for Development and East Europe Foundation. Founded in 2002, the Association “Caroma Nord” has implemented about 20 projects to protect the environment.
