Romania’s Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu comes to Chisinau to reaffirm Romania’s solid and unequivocal support for the Republic of Moldova, at all levels. The visit will take place on October 4, IPN reports.
“We remain the firm voice that supports the European integration of the Republic of Moldova. We continue the implementation of the €100 million agreement, which generates impactful projects, and we will accelerate our interconnection in vital areas such as energy, infrastructure and transport. All these efforts are for the benefit of the citizens from both banks of the Prut,” reads a press release of the Romanian Government.
According to Marcel Ciolacu, the reassertion of the European option by the citizens in the October 20 election is crucial for the continuation of the European path of the Republic of Moldova. This is the only way to development and a better life.
The Prime Minister of Romania is expected to come to Chisinau together with Deputy Prime Minister Marian Neacșu, Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism Ștefan-Radu Oprea and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Florin Barbu.
A day earlier, the Romanian Government approved the granting of 11.8 million lei for the restoration of the building located on Gavriil Bănulescu-Bodoni St in Chisinau - a monument of architecture and history of national importance. “The building of the Ministry of Culture will be thus renovated in a proportion of almost 50% with the money provided by the Government of Romania, based on the non-reimbursable financial assistance in the amount of €100 million granted by Romania to the Republic of Moldova,” said the spokesman for the Romanian Government Mihai Constantin.
