Alexandra Marca, who took part in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, became again national archery champion. She outdid Milena Gatco and Ana Onofrei.

In the men’s championship, last year’s champion Dan Olaru, who carried Moldova’s flag at the 2012 London Olympics, ranked third. He was outstripped by Oleg Lacutco and Alexei Trostenetski. “We had by two training sessions and exams at the university. It was pretty hard,” Dan Olaru stated for IPN.

The Moldovan archers are to take part in two important competitions this summer. The European Archery Cup will take place in Croatia during July 9 and 14, while the World Cup will be held in Berlin during August 8-13.
