‘Manhood’ taught in school
Until October 26, students in Moldova’s secondary and high schools will be taught military education courses themed “Lessons of Manhood”.
According to the head of the Chisinau Military Centre’s civic education department, Maj. Inga Afteni, the courses are conducted by the personnel of the municipal and district military centres. National Army officers and veterans will also get involved in teaching by informing the students about the history of the National Army, the everyday activities of the military men, combat training, participation in international peacekeeping missions, etc.
The goal of the curses is to give the youth military, patriotic and civic education, and to popularise the military service among young persons.
In the last four years, Lessons of Manhood have become a tradition and enjoyed popularity among the students.
