The list of services provided within the common mandatory health insurance program was extended to cover the expenses incurred by patients undergoing chemotherapy in ambulatory conditions when traveling by suburban and interurban public transport, to and from, IPN reports.
Under a Government decision, a series of modern examinations based on new technology for making and specifying the diagnosis were included in the program. Also, the age by which the presence of the mother or a close relative is allowed if the child is hospitalized was increased from up to three to up to 18.
Amendments were approved to the law on the mandatory provision of health assistance. These stipulate that the parent, including the adoptive one, who raises and educates four and more children can benefit from the status of medically insured person. The National Health Insurance Company will also give such a status to students studying abroad.
