Sorin Colceag hes resigned as manager of Zimbru Chisinau after taking the club into the Moldova Cup quarter-finals.

Zimbru beat Division B Sporting Trestieni, 5-1, and will encounter Petrocub Hîncești in the quarter-finals.

However, in the National Division Zimbru were able to score only one victory in 15 games, which places them on the penultimate spot in the championship. 

Sorin Colceag had been manager with Zimbru for almost a year. Marius Codescu, the director of the club’s football school, is also leaving alongside the Romanian manager.
